I have just been stood up at an appointment but that is not my porblem.
What really made me mad was the reason. The man i was supposed to meet had taken his dog to the vet 70miles away in his 4x4. (There are vets within 2miles of his home)
When i spoke to him later in the day he was back home but told me he was going back to the same vet later that day!
So that is 280 miles in one day for a dog. That is around 70 litres of fuel and producing around 250kg of Carbon Dioxide (1/4 ton)
Togther with the cost of the vet he would have spent well over £200.
This horrifies me for several reasons;
1. No wonder the roads are so congested, surley it's time the road tax and insurance were added to the cost of fuel to try and limit such waste.
2. How can this man spend so much on a dying dog while living in the full knowlege that so many people are starving to death in the world.
3. This example is just one of the millions of people cuasing global warming. We are all doomed.
